Featured in over 40 photography books, several gay zines (BLUE, XY, TETU, aK, OG, OBLIVION, ODYSSEY, GRUF and FRONTIERS) and over 20 exhibitions including the 'The Male Nude' group exhibition with works by Joel-Peter Witkin, Bruce of L.A., and Edward Weston held at the SCOTT NICHOLS GALLERY, San Francisco. BIRON was represented in Paris for 13 years (2005-2018) by Nicole Canet at the Au Bonheur du Jour Gallery, 11 rue Chabanais, where a successful 'Asian Male Nudes' exhibition was held in 2012. ROBERT OPEL'S FEY-WAY STUDIOS (1978-79), an online gallery with memorabilia of Robert Opel's gallery and featured artists in this unique SOMA gay art gallery, published on www.photos-biron.com in 1998 and referenced by scholars/documentary filmmakers over the years. Robert Opel is notorious for having streaked the Academy Awards in Los Angeles on live television in the early 1970s, but less is know of his radical art gallery in the gay SOMA district of San Francisco. He collaborated with me on one of my Art Attack projects in 1979 shortly before he was assassinated in his art gallery.

Caleb was 18, not 16, when these photos were taken. I had proof of age on file in compliance with US federal law which I had provided the publisher along with the photos, This comment unfortunately held up the distribution of the book in the US by the German publisher's US distributor who required me to forward both the model's California ID and his model release form, So, after a considerable delay, the book was finally released in the US.
