- Vocalist, Dancer, Athlete & Model
- At the tender age of three years old, Terry
Dyer sang in his very first concert (a family function).
This would catapult him into far greater things to include: dancing, acting,
sports - track and field, swimming, tennis, volleyball, and modeling. By
the age of seven, Terry had run in over ten track meets, and had sung in
six concerts. This also included a long stint on the National TV Show,
Star Search
in 1987. It was clear that he loved being on stage!
- Both track and
field and singing would lead Terry to greater things in life. By the
age of thirteen, Terry had traveled the states running in numerous National
and International competitions. In 1993, Terry won two titles at both
USA
Junior
National Championships, and Junior Olympics (400 meters and triple jump).
Entering high school (1994), he would quickly establish himself as one
of the state’s best track athletes. By the time he graduated in 1998,
Terry had racked up many accolades to include TRACK:
5 Freshman Class School Records, CIF Scholar Athlete, 2 Junior Class
School Records, 2 Section Titles, Ranked #7 in California ’97 and ’98
(hurdles), Conference MVP Award, Junior National Ranking, a scholarship
to Chico State
(’98); SINGING: Best Tenor Award ’97 and ‘98, Beverly Landis Music Scholarship
(for college) ’98; and ACADEMICS: 4-yr. Honor Roll Student, and lots
more. Heading into college, he also received several scholarships: Academic,
Bravo
Opera,
Track and Field,
and EOP in 1998 (Chico State).
- During his redshirt freshman season at Chico
State, Terry also discovered the Men’s Volleyball Team, and this would
serve as the next chapter challenge for him. He stopped running track
and
field, and joined
the Volleyball Program. As an athlete, a scholar, and a performer,
Terry definitely became a master of time management while at Chico
State. He
would perform in numerous opera, choral, dance, and musical productions
(1998 -2001).
He also would volunteer to sing the National Anthem at various
sporting and community events (1998 -present). An incredible memory
was created by the 1999 "Chico State in China Tour." Terry
was one of a 12-member ensemble
to tour China performing Opera and Musical Theater. Working
diligently to hone his gift of voice, Terry was also selected to
perform at New York City's Carnegie
Hall in 2000, with the A Cappella Choral Ensemble (although the trip
did not occur). Realizing that voice performance was a true focal
point in his
life, Terry auditioned and was accepted into three music schools
while attending Chico State in 2001. He received acceptance letters
to Stony
Brook, the Mannes College of Music (NY), and the San Francisco Conservatory
of Music (SFCM). Sadly, after choosing to attend SFCM, the state
budget crisis caused
him to loose
his scholarship.
- Terry
then moved to Sacramento and attended Sacramento State University (2001)
where he soon joined the Men’s Volleyball
Team, and lots more. In 2001-2004, Terry would instruct, train, and coach
Aerobics, Dance (hip hop, jazz, salsa), Stretch, Cheerleading Teams, and
Voice. All served his love of performing.
While playing volleyball, Terry became a Two-Time National Collegiate
Club Volleyball Runner-Up (2002 and 2003). At both finals, Terry sang the
National Anthem. He earned All-American honors in 2003 as well. While at
Sacramento
State, Terry also was honored on the Dean’s List in 2002
and 2003. Combining all of his loves music, sports, and modeling was something
that he thrived in doing.
- Terry got into fashion modeling as a
child. In 1990 thru 1993, Terry had appeared in several JC Penny’s, Macy’s,
and Gottschalk’s
Catalogs. This also included a 1991 Runway Fashion Show for JC Penny’s
that provided another form of performing which he greatly enjoyed. During
his
junior year (2000-01) at Chico State, Terry did nude modeling for
art classes, and local photographers. In 2002,
Terry decided to continue professionally modeling. He worked with three local
photographers, doing mostly website work
(modeling and advertising products). Some of the erotic art photography
appeared in a local gallery.

- After graduating from Sacramento
State, Terry relocated to San Francisco where he occasionally has modeled
for local photographers.
In August 2013, he moved once again – this time to Salt Lake City, Utah.
